Best Buy Idealist

Idealist was the next phase of the Best Buy Gift List, the precursor to what ultimately became Best Buy's Registry. It was a mobile app (iOS and Android) that let users log in via various social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, Google) to create and share wish lists with others.

The app worked by scanning actual products with your phone camera, via either QR Code or UPC. This allowed customers to quickly scan products in store without the need to sign up on a terminal or get a hand held scanner from an employee.
